I don't think there's any easy way to say this so I'll just have to up and say it. Albus had a part in taking the Malfoys' owl. He didn't act alone, of course, and he didn't even do it himself or anything. I--don't know what I'm saying, Merlin, I never thought I'd be writing this to you two. What I'm basically saying is, he wasn't the one to take the owl, and he wasn't involved in its hiding, but he was aware of it and hid it just the same. He came to me to let me know, so please don't be too hard on him. He was scared, who could blame him with the bullies around this place? But it took a lot of bravery for him to risk their anger and come tell me. He was wrong, and he knows that, and he and the rest of the students involved are to be banned from the Halloween Feast, but that's where his punishment ends. The others are getting Saturday detentions and other things but not him, see.

I don't even know if this made any sense, and if it didn't, I'm sorry. I just never expected it to be Albus in my office. He's a good boy, though, honestly he is. I just wanted to tell you two before the Headmaster sends an owl. I'm sorry. I really am. [/Hex]

No one's ever introduced me to the joys of borage seeds before. I don't think I'd ever even heard of them. They're really quite brilliant. I started off growing them just in companions to my tomatoes, but they actually have a wonderful flavour. A bit like cucumber, actually. Hannah, love, I'll send some home with my next owl, try mixing them with that dip you make and see how it comes out. They're actually quite good in salads, too. They're nothing fancy, but if anyone wants to try them, mine should be sprouting seeds soon, and I think I may have a few willing volunteers to help me harvest them.

Everything else is going well, I suppose. Really glad I'm not a transfiguration student anymore, however, what is it you seventh years are doing??
